The Teacher in the Classrooom

       Every teacher has their different styles in handling their learners inside the classroom . Other teachers treat them differently inside and out of the classroom. Some teachers treat their students as a friend outside the classroom and others are not.

       My cooperating teacher is very good in handling her learners inside the classroom. The favoritism does not exist. She is fair in giving attention to everybody , and I can say that she is not biased. Although it is inevitable that there are times that her attention would somehow focus in one of her learners but it is also for the fact that that certain student asked him questions regarding the lesson.

        She answered well the questions of her learners clearly and directly without leading confusion. She also gave group activities that will enhance the learner's skill in memorization. Even though every group have their leaders, unlike the other teachers, she set that all the members in that particular group would cooperate and has a role not only the leader.

        The thing that I do not like about her is that she let her learners talk with their seatmates that lead to a noisy classroom environment which is not good for learning. During also their Biology laboratory, she left her learners and go to their office maybe because of some important matter and because of this, her learners had difficulty in locating the specimen in the microscope that if he did not left, they had no hard time finding that letter "e" specimen. But she is not that bad , she had trust on us (my co-observer) and let us to do her work. Before she leave, she told us that everybody would see the specimen under  the microscope which is advantage for us to experience as future teachers.

The Teacher as a Person

   
    My cooperating teacher is Mrs. Victoria Tarranza, a Biology educator and the guidance counselor at our very own Integrated Developmental School.  She is that kind of teacher who is responsible and has a dignity .A teacher that produces an ambiance for good teaching environment.

    I observed that she is very friendly.Whenever we meet inside the school campus, she always give that beautiful smile. A smile that can make me feel safe because at first, I doubted if she is really kind and not strict. I can say that the term "morality" reflects to herself. One can see that she has a good moral values, thus, a big help to make the learners to be like her.

     In addition, she is not that typical kind of teacher who is very serious while discussing the lesson. In fact, she has a sense of humor and a jolly one. She uses examples on her lesson based on her experiences or somebody's experiences that surely most of her learners can relate and some of those are a funny one.

     Before she dismiss the class, she let her students sing the DOH song which gives a learning also in order for them to always remember the importance of a good parenthood in the future.

     The reason behind those values is that she follows the code of ethics for professional teachers. The code of ethics for professional teachers can be useless if teachers will not follow what is written there. Teachers should love the profession that they chose in order for them to become an effective teacher.

     This teacher really inspires me. I like the way she teaches.  I agree with all those values that i had witnessed except only for the fact that sometimes her discussion would turned into a boring one but she can fixed it quickly.
